Celebrate the joys of reading with Ladybird
Wednesday 5th June, 2013

STORYTELLING experts Ladybird will visit Wigan Library on Monday (10 June) to put on a variety of activities for pre-schoolers.

The Ladybird Live! event will include face painting, colouring in, a raffle, and of course storytelling sessions and book selling. There will also be advice on hand for parents looking for guidance on reading with their child.

Children aged 2-5 years old are invited to attend one of two sessions (10am-11.30am or 2pm-3pm) dressed as ladybirds.

Rita Devlin, Outreach and Programming Officer at leisure provider WLCT, said: “We are delighted to host this event at Wigan Library and look forward to seeing lots of young ladybirds coming along to discover the joys of reading.”

The event is being held to celebrate and promote the joys of storytelling. From birth through to confident young readers, Ladybird offers books and apps for every child’s need.

Tickets are free and are available from the library. For more information, please contact the library on 01942 827621.
