|The Galleries cracking start to Easter sees their Easter egg appeal return
Easter Egg Drop
The Galleries hugely popular Easter Egg Appeal returns for its second year. The shopping centre is encouraging shoppers to donate Easter Eggs for children in the Rainbow Ward of Wigan Hospital.
Shoppers are asked to drop off Easter eggs at the Easter display on the upper level of Ashton Gallery (opposite The Works) and they will be delivered to the Rainbow Ward in time for Easter.
The Rainbow Ward in Wigan Hospital is a general pediatric ward and has a mixture of beds and cubicles. It is the children's emergency and long stay admission ward and is built around the playroom. The ward has children attending for a variety of medical procedures and reviews.
Richard Paxton, centre director of The Galleries commented "Last year we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our retailers, shoppers and local businesses too and we couldn’t wait to launch the 2013 Easter Egg appeal for the children in hospital. Please join us in providing a little chocolate cheer to the children in hospital this Easter.”
The Galleries have launched the appeal by donating 50 Easter Eggs. The 2012 Easter Egg appeal was hugely popular, with over 250 Easter Eggs being donated to the Rainbow Ward.
Large Easter Egg donations can be collected by arrangement, please contact Karen Cox, Marketing and Admin Manager on 01942 825 734 or by email email@example.com.
