Two cars collided in Wigan causing injuries to two men.

Just after 10am on Friday 25 January 2013, a red Ford Mondeo was travelling south along Makerfield Way, Higher Ince when there was a collision with a Fiat Panda travelling in the opposite direction.

A 22-year-old man driving the Ford Mondeo suffered a fracture to his knee and the 64-year-old man driving the Fiat Panda suffered a broken leg and wrist. The 64-year-old woman passenger of the Fiat Panda suffered minor injuries.

Sergeant John Brennan from the Road Policing Unit said: “This was a major collision and their injuries could have been much worse. We are continuing with our enquiries to establish what happened and would ask that anyone who witnessed it or saw any of the vehicles being driven prior to the incident to get in contact.”
