|Efit issued after man tried to grab woman - Wigan
Police have issued an efit after a man tried to grab a woman and pull her into the back of a van in Wigan.
The 21-year-old woman was walking on Bryn Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield at around 4.30am on Sunday 28 October 2012 when a white transit van pulled up alongside her with a male driving and a male front passenger.
The driver asked whether she was okay to which she replied she was. He then invited her inside the van but she walked off.
The van drove off a further 200 yards past the woman, stopped and another man got out of the back. He invited her inside, before he grabbed her arm, and tried to pull her.
He let go, got back into the van and the vehicle drove off. The victim was not injured.
The driver and front seat passenger of the van are described as being dark skinned, in his late 20s/early 30s with dark hair.
The rear passenger is described as being dark skinned, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5ft 7in tall, of skinny build, had dark wavy hair and stubble on his face. He wore a black hooded top.
Detective Constable Susan O’Connell from Wigan CID said: “I would ask anyone who recognises the image of the man to get in touch. We originally publicised this appeal in November but are keen for more people to come forward and help us with our enquiries.
“At the time of the incident, we do not believe there would have been many people around but if you did see something suspicious or may have heard of a similar incident, please contact us.”
