Wigan Town Centre management, The Galleries and Grand Arcade are giving one lucky youngster and six friends the chance to have an exclusive audience with 2012 XFactor Finalist Kye Sones who is performing at Wiganís Christmas Light Switch-on event on Thursday 15 November!

The winners will not only meet him in the flesh, they will have have their photograph taken with him, get his autograph and ask him questions! To win a chance to meet Kye Sones after he switches on Wiganís Christmas lights, simply e-mail info@wiganchristmas.co.uk telling us why you should be the lucky ones meet him!

Kye Sones, 30, former chimney sweep from London was mentored by Gary Barlow during the 2012 XFactor finals. Kye performed Jason Mrazís ĎI wonít give upí giving a strong performance during the live final on Sunday, but faced a vote off and then deadlock with Rylan. Xfactor host Dermot OíLeary then sadly announced that Kye was leaving the 2012 finals during the show on Sunday evening.

Wiganís Christmas Light Switch on Event takes place between 4 and 7.30pm on Thursday 15 November in Market Place in the town centre and includes performances from 2012 XFactor Finalist Kye Sones and Hacker T Dog from BBC Children's TV show Hacker Time.

Radio presenter Danny Bee and Luke Marsden will host the eveningís events on the huge 50ft stage, welcoming a fabulous selection of acts including: Olivia Archbold, One Voice, Bon Bonz, local singer Zoe Unsworth, local band Boomin and Wiganís very own Scott Chapman. Stars from Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic will also be appearing on stage too along with the Rugby League World Cup trophy. After the event finishes at 7.30pm, fans will then be offered the opportunity to have their photos taken alongside the Rugby World Cup Trophy when it will be displayed in the Grand Arcade shopping centre.

Wiganís Santa and Reindeer parade takes place on Sunday 18 November, leaving Mesnes Park at 1pm, arriving in Market Place at 1.30pm. The parade includes marching bands, costume characters and much, much more. Following the parade, Santa and his reindeers remain in Market Place along with the performers until 4.30pm. Mascots, local organisations and groups are all invited to join the parade, for further details, please e-mail the events team on info@wiganchristmas.co.uk.

Wigan Town Centre management, The Galleries and Grand Arcade have joined together to organise the townís 2012 Christmas events. The Christmas light switch on event launches late night shopping in the town with shops open until 8pm.
