|Free health checks, advice and information at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Free health checks, advice and information will be on offer as part of Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s (Bridgewater) AGM on 27 September.
Members of the public will be given the chance to have their blood pressure checked, their eating habits assessed and their questions about health and wellbeing answered at the event.
There will also be information on dental health, hand hygiene, breastfeeding and sexual health and an update on the services Bridgewater provides and the main achievements during the year.
The event will commence at 4pm with market stalls offering free health checks, advice and refreshments. A buffet will be provided after the formal business of the AGM has concluded and there will be more opportunity to view the stalls and speak to health professionals. The AGM will commence at 5pm and will include an update on the main developments and plans for health services in each borough.

Bridgewater Chairman Harry Holden said: “We want to ensure our Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for local people to come and talk to us, receive a free blood pressure check, some health advice and find out a bit more about what services we offer and our plans for the future.
“As an aspiring Foundation Trust, we want people to understand more about our role in the community and in the NHS and the role they can play in safeguarding their own health and in influencing the decisions we make in the future.”
