Top author visit for Shevington library
Jane Costello

CHICK-LIT author Jane Costello is set to appear at Shevington Library.
The top ten best selling author of five novels, including her latest All The Single Ladies, will take centre stage as part of a special author visit on Wednesday 18 July.

The former newspaper journalist wrote her first novel “Bridesmaids”, while on maternity leave and, as well as becoming a best-seller, it was short-listed for the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance. She followed that up with The Nearly-Weds, which was named by the Romantic Novelists’ Association as Romantic Comedy of the Year 2010.

Jane’s books are now sold around the world and have been translated into sixteen languages.

Organiser Sue Colville from Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “Shevington has a thriving Chick-Lit audience and reading group. Jane is a vibrant and funny author who is well read by our readers and guaranteed to provide an entertaining evening.”

Chick-Lit is a genre of fiction that addresses modern womanhood often in a light and humorous way.

The author evening begins is being held on Wednesday 18 July and starts at 7.30pm. Jane will speak to the group and there will be wine and cupcakes and other refreshments while there is a question and answer session. There will also be a chance to chat with Jane at the end, buy books and get signed copies.

Tickets cost £3.50 plus a full loyalty card to use in the library in the future. The evening starts at 7.30pm.

To book call Shevington Library on 01257 252 618.
