|Men on bike try to rob jewellers
Men in motorcycle helmets tried to rob a jewellers in Pemberton.
At 2.45pm on Wednesday 22 September 2011, staff at Uncle's Jewellers and Pawnbrokers on Ormskirk Road, Pemberton were behind the counter in the shop.
They were just out of sight of the main entrance to the shop when two men went in, wearing motorcycle helmets.
One of the men kicked an internal wooden door open, which leads into a small hallway area, off which is the access to the window display and staff counter.
The second man ran into the shop. Neither offender managed to get any further than the internal wooden door before the shop owner saw them and went into the small hallway from behind the counter.
Both men turned around and ran out of the shop, then rode off on a black motorcycle .
The man who kicked open the internal door is described as a white man, aged 16 or 17, of slim build. He was wearing a black crash helmet and a grey zip-up top.
The second man is described as a white man, aged 16 or 17, of slim build. He was wearing a black crash helmet and a black jacket.
