The Galleries Summer Beach is back!
Richard Paxton, centre director eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2011 Galleries Summer Beach.

The Galleries Summer Beach is back by popular demand!

From Monday 25 July until Sunday 4 September, the summer beach returns to Woodcock Square at The Galleries Shopping Centre. With 10 tonnes of sand, palm trees, deckchairs and decking, the beach will be free of charge to visit, making it a fantastic attraction during the school summer holidays. The summer beach will be also play host to a number of activities on Wednesdays throughout the summer period too.

At 11am on 25 July, everyone will be invited to wear fancy dress and join the summer beach party, where there will be lots of fun and games, music, limbo competitions, face painting and even a 8 meter high climbing wall too! Other Wednesday events include; donkey rides, balloon modelling, children’s activity workshops, volleyball, colouring competitions and even summer beach football too!

Richard Paxton, centre director of The Galleries commented:
“We are delighted to announce that The Galleries Summer Beach returns for its fourth year. Why not dress up in your fancy dress outfits and join us at the beach party on Monday 25 July when this year’s summer beach opens. The summer beach and all the events are free to all visitors, we’ve even invited a team of donkeys this year to help us join in the fun!”

Everyone wearing fancy dress at the summer beach party will be given a stick of summer beach rock!

The beach will be open daily from 10am - 5pm (25 July until 4 September). For more information, please visit www.galleriesbeach.co.uk or telephone 01942 825 734.
