A Tree-mendous Fatherís Day Gift in Wigan
Friday 3rd June, 2011

Stuck for an original Fatherís Day present this year? Want a gift that doesnít cost the earth? A charity is inviting Wigan residents to show how much their dad means to them by dedicating a tree which will help to make Wigan a greener and healthier place to live.

For just £15 sons and daughters can dedicate a sapling for fathers in one of Red Rose Forestís beautiful woodlands including Windy Bank Wood, Byrom Wood and Viridor Wood. They will also receive a certificate personalised with their chosen message and a map of the woodland site.

The Dedicate a Tree scheme is run by Community Forests North West, the charity that supports Red Rose Forest along with The Mersey and Pennine Edge Forests. Tony Hothersall, Director of Red Rose Forest says:

ďDedicating a tree is a great way to celebrate Fatherís Day. Itís a really unique and special way to show how much your dad means to you and is a gift with a real future. As well as being a special gift, the donation will count towards creating acres of community woodland that will enhance the local area and in turn provide the perfect place for recreation.Ē

Visit www.dedicateatree.org to dedicate a tree on-line or call 0161 872 1660.
