|Man charged following robbery at home of pensioner
Police have charged a man after food was stolen from a freezer during a robbery in Wigan.
Shortly after 6.30am on Wednesday 21 April 2010, a 72-year-old man was in bed at his home on Withington Lane, Aspull, when he was woken by an intruder.
The man went to investigate and was confronted by the offender who was armed with a knife.
The offender threatened the man and demanded cash. He then searched various rooms in the house before leaving.
Various items, including cash and food from the freezer were stolen.
Brian Millea (14/04/1972), of Botany Close, has been charged with robbery.
He appeared at Wigan Magistratesí Court on Friday 21 May 2010, where he was remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 31 August 2010.
