Over 200 care home staff pick up award at CLS ceremony

Almost 200 care home staff picked up an award at a ceremony arranged by charitable care provider, CLS Care Services, this month. The event celebrated the achievement of staff from over 25 CLS Care Homes throughout Cheshire, Warrington and Wigan over the last 12 months. Included in the honours list were more than 40 members of staff from the organisationís Wigan and Leigh homes, including Ancliffe (Goose Green), Garswood House (Ashton-in-Makerfield), Golborne House (Golborne), Greenacres (Standish), Hourigan House (Leigh), Lakelands (Higher Ince), Lyndhurst (Leigh) and Thorley House (Hindley).

A wide range of achievements were celebrated at the award ceremony at Nantwich Civic Hall, including NVQs in health and social care, catering, cleaning building interiors, customer service, business administration and team leadership, as well as specialist qualifications in medication and provision of activities. A number of home managers have also completed the prestigious Registered Managers Award, and the manager of Chester home, Florence Grogan House, achieved a Masters Degree in Business Management.
