Man robbed by pair on motorbike
Monday 26th April, 2010

Police are hoping a man and woman can help them identify a pair of robbers.

At about 1.30am on Sunday 25 April 2010, a 23-year-old man was walking along Careless Lane, Higher Ince.

He was approached by two offenders who were riding a small red motorcycle. The pair asked him for the time before assaulting him and stealing his I-pod.

One offender is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 11in tall, of thin build with short dark hair.

The second offender is slightly chubbier than the first robber and between 5ft 11in and 6ft 2in tall.

The victim believes a man and woman were walking just ahead of him prior to the robbery.

PC Darren Reid, of the Volume Crime Team, said: "The victim was assaulted and had belongings stolen by these offenders and hopefully someone can help me identify them.

"Anyone out in the area at the time will almost certainly remember seeing them on the motorbike. If you have any information about the offenders or saw what happened, please call police."

Anyone with information is asked to call Wigan Volume Crime Team on 0161 856 7255, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
