|Appeal to trace movements of man pulled from canal
Police are appealing for the public's help to trace the last movements of a man whose body was recovered from a canal in Wigan.
At 3:30pm on Saturday 13 February 2010, police were called to Warrington Road after the body of a man was discovered floating in the Dover Lock canal.
An underwater search team attended and recovered the body.
The man has been identified using his DNA as Harry Frederick Mills, aged 30.
Harry was last seen alive on 4 January 2010.
Anyone who saw Harry between 4 January 2010 and 13 February 2010 is asked to call police.
Detective Sergeant Gary Ashurst, from Wigan CID, said: "While we do not believe Harry's death to be suspicious, it is worrying that there is such a large gap between when he was found and when he was last seen.
"We are trying to piece together his last known movements so if you saw or spoke to Harry at any point before his body was discovered I would urge you to get in touch."
Anyone with information is asked to call Wigan CID on 0161 856 7255.
