|Man violently beaten in Wigan bus stop

A man was violently beaten in a bus stop in Wigan.
At about 2.50am on Sunday 13 September 2009, the 24-year-old victim was with friends outside Wigan North Western Station, Wallgate, when he was approached by a group of four men.
Three of the men shouted abuse at the victim before launching a vicious and unprovoked attack.
He suffered a triple fracture to his right leg, a dislocated right ankle and severe swelling to his head and face.
All three are described as white and between 19 and 20-years-old. One is described as being of scrawny build with short-cropped hair and wearing a green T-shirt. The second was small but of stocky build with a shaved head.
Detective Sergeant Graham Clare, from Wigan CID, said: "This was a senseless attack that has left the victim with extremely nasty injuries.
"Given the severity of this attack we are issuing CCTV images of a number of men we are keen to speak to.
"If you know the identity of any of these men or if you witnessed the incident then please call police."
