|Concrete slab used to smash into Wigan house
Robbers used a concrete slab to smash their way into a Wigan house.
At about 9.15am on Tuesday 1 September 2009, the man and woman inside the house on Golborne Road heard their back patio window smash.
Four men burst inside the house, terrifying both victims, and demanded property.
Jewellery was taken, including two high value watches; the man's Patek Philippe watch, and the woman's Audemars Piguet watch.
The offenders left the house via the patio window, and a car was waiting for them outside the back of the house.
The four white men had their faces covered with balaclavas and spoke with Merseyside accents.
Detective Constable Richie Bennett said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victims, though thankfully they were not hurt.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the men approaching the house to get in touch.
"I am also appealing to anyone who may know the whereabouts of the watches."
