Yellow Brook Waterfall. (Man made) This is where water exits from the Great Haigh Sough that drained the pits around Haigh and Aspull. It often runs yellow due to the high content of iron ore in the underground workings. (This bottom part was culverted when the opencast mining was finished at the Alexandra and Lindsay Pits). (144k)
