How did you find wiganworld?    Browsing to find a former colleague
Comments Great site -- one of the best I have seen for layout images and responses. I am presently retired and have been writing my biography. 8I am looking for a colleague Ian Crompton who was an art/pottery teacher in the Ashton / Wigan area. I worked with him in Knowsley Secondary in the late 1960's -- lost contact with him. It would help if anyone knew of him to allow me to talk to them. not sure if I can leave a contact email but would appreciate the moderators support on this.

Comments Pi Eta, I think you are right, I have just looked at the image of All Saints. The 2 windows at the rear seem to be exactly the same.

Comments Just wanted to say that I saw an advert for The Coop on TV....a quick shot at the beginning shows a church. It couldn't be a church at Ince, St Marys ? Anyone seen it ?
Thanks for letting me post that, I know its not really guestbook stuff.

Comments Great site for Wiganers & others, look at it every day.

Help required. In the course of researching my
Prescott family history I have traced my Grt Uncle, John Prescott born in 1871 in Ince. John had a son Eric born abt 1910 who married Adeline Gregory. They in turn had a son David John born April 1942.

If anyone recognises these names could they leave a message please. I have family history that I am happy to share with them. No Strings attached.

Many Thanks.

Comments I understand My Father, Harold Kellie who was a builder and also a Wiganer, knocked down some houses across from Wigan Hospital on Wigan Lane around 1960's which I think we're called The Woodlands. Can anyone tell me anything about the homes and who lived there in 1900's onwards. Any photos also helpful. Thankyou
