  Comments I was born in Platt Bridge, moved out to Bickershaw when I was about 4 yrs old, I have a sister Mary, and Brothers Mick, and Paul, {Paul has Paul Whittle cars and M.O.T. station in Ince,} brought up there,up to about 15 yrs old then moved to Wiga {Scholes} then out to marsh green {Hunter road} on to Wales, then out to S.A.Attended Cardinal Newman in Hindley, Looking for "Old Mates" from Wigan/Bickershaw....Tommy Starkie, Terry Warburton, Cliff Robinson, Jim Maudsley, Billy Hayes,all Bickershaw.   Comments This site was great. It gave me a feel for where half my family is living. I will be seeing most of them for the first time when I fly out there with my parents and some friends in a couple weeks. If anybody has any places that are a must see when we are there please e-mail me. Thanks!

  Comments I am doing some genealogical research for a brother-in-law. His family name is Gregson, and apparently an Anne Gregson married Sir Francis Sharp Powell, M.P. for many years for Wigan. Nice looking community, and a nice looking web site.

My mother is Cathrine jolley whos maiden name was McCormick now aged 58 from Wigan Lancashire UK. and my father is William Jolley ( bill )who is 66yrs from Hardybutts, Scholes Wigan Lancashire UK. I am the oldest 39yrs of 3 lads and 2 girls Margaret, Philip, Kathrine and Michael My mothers, mother and father was John and Emma McCormick from Pemberton Wigan. My fathers mother and father was Hennry and Margaret Jolley Margaret died when my father ( bill ) was 12 william keith jolley ( keith )
