  Comments What I have seen is good. Still searching it though. In famous Wiganners, you don't mention Professor Sir Eric Laithwaite who invented the electric linear motor. He was born and bred in Atherton. Also Tracy Bennett (Coronation Street) also from Atherton.

  Comments I think this is a great site, i remember all the old places me and my mum went to when i was a little kid, i'm 13 now, it's great to find out about my history and about my school, abraham guest on Orrell Road, It's so funny, remember the time when treasure hunt came to wigan, tha was way cool.   Comments My great grandfather was James Scotson, of Little Byrom farm, Lowton. My grandfather, Abraham Scotson, became a Veterinary Surgeon and he last lived in Kent, where my dad, Jimmy Scotson was born. Any relations out there? My second cousin, Allan, has recently visited Leigh.
