Seems like I've got a worm/trojan virus in the registry. W32/Zlob.gen1 . All these 100% free demolishers, mean a free scan then pay to remove.
Is there a simple way to get rid, or do I have to re-format?
I'm using PC Guard & I've downloaded Net Doctor, which found the infected files, but want 20-odd to remove 'em Crying or Very sad

The damned thing found it's way in just after the stroke of midnight 1/1/07

Here are 4 free full working spyware removal programs that I use Art,
a-squared free
Ad-Aware SE Personal
Spybot
Windows Defender

In addition to the excellent online scanner that Townofmemories posted there is another made by Symantec that is quite good.

I've never rated PC Guard. You'd be better ditching it and using some or all of the above spyware removers, AVG Free or Avast Free 4 Home as your anti-virus software, and ZoneAlarm free as your firewall.
