hope he gets a very long sentence tomorrow. Showed no emotion over the death of his children. They just seemed liked objects to him. There's a few programs on various channels tonight about the investigation.

Somehow those two reminded me of the West's and their sordid lifestyle and unconcern for the lives of others.

I watched the BBC and ITV documentary's last night and even though people who knew him said he loved his kids and even today on the news before sentencing people are saying the same yet he showed not emotion when doing the press conference. Well there was crocodile tears but that's all they were. Very strange lifestyle and it was the kids who suffered at the end.

Sad

He only wanted the kids for the benefits he got for them.

I watched the Channel 5 programme. Evil self-centred sod, certainly picked his women as well. All that because one left him and took her children.
Those poor kids, they did'nt have a chance.
In a contrast to him though in that programme - what good human beings,
the Butler lads who tried to get the children, and Mrs Butler a good woman, they felt so deeply for the children.
I thought there was something not right at the time of the broadcast of their press conference, it was all about him and acting. Not using the time to plead for help at all, because he knew there was nobody to find - and her, she looked as if she was going to get a hand on her should any minute, she was doomed.

What's the point of giving them 17 years, and saying only serve half of it.?

There was a bloke on the news from the Crown Prosecution who said that they could only be found guilty of manslaughter and not murder as they didn't intend killing their children, and yet they deliberately started the fire that killed them, the legal system has gone crazy. Confused

Mick has a life sentence, with at least 15 years, before he can apply for parole.
If parole is granted, he will still be on a re-call sentence "for life" if he re-offends.
The other two, with 17 years sentences, after 8 years, if parolled, can be re-called to finish the
"full 17 years" of their sentence if they re-offend..

That's the difference between the two

Personally, I would string 'em up Evil or Very Mad
