We had the help of a man witha a machete to get us over the Yellow brook after a giant tree was brought down by the flood when the Douglas dam was turned on.

Its very strange to find a man with machete in the woods.

I wonder what he would be chopping if that tree had not fallen down.

He told me he uses that little bridge over the brook to go to work so he was making sure he could get through on Monday morning.

He might be a Scholes based cat burglar who plies his trade along the big houses of Wigan lane and Whitley and thats his escape route.
