If you are putting AVG on you'll have to take Norton off goldn1. Best thing to do is download the stuff you need, disconnect from the internet, uninstall Norton, install your new stuff, and then reconnect.
If your taking Norton off you'll probably need a firewall, I recomend the free version of ZoneAlarm. There are links to AVG Free and ZoneAlarm free on this page,
http://www.davidsws.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/links.html
You already put Adaware on didn't you? So if you put Spybot Search & Destroy on(the link is also on that page) and use it's Imunise function you should be as safe as houses Smile

When you have all the AVG, adaware and zonealarm, do you have to uninstall PC Guard? I put AVG on and turned the anti-virus on PCGuard off but my comp went really mega slow,so I uninstalled AVG until I know what I'm doing better. Embarassed Plus, I couldn't take pcguard off then as I didn't have another firewall so that link to zonealarm is great, thanks. Laughing

You are welcome goldn1 Very Happy

Garnet76, you need 1 antivirus program, 1 firewall program, and as many spyware programs as you feel you need or can be bothered to look after Laughing
So the the best thing to do is download AVG ZoneAlarm and Spybot S&D, disconnect from the net, then uninstall PC Guard.
Install ZoneAlarm, install AVG and reconnect to the net when you are prompted to update it, once you've got AVG up to date install Spybot S&D and any other anti spyware programs you want.
