Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) is 50 years old today, the pilot episode was aired by ATV on 19/09/1969, it was filmed in colour, though unfortunately at the time we had to view it in monochrome. Like the quote about Ken Cope and his Beatle mop head of hair, don't they realise it was a wig he was wearing, in some of the episodes it really does stand out, but I suppose that went along with the comedy.

It is still shown on some of the nostalgia TV channels and it is still worth a watch, and at the time it was one of me favourite TV progs

There was some great TV series around then, and Randall & Hopkirk was a favourite of mine too along with The Avengers and Man in a Suitcase, The Saint was okay too, they made it worthwhile staying in of a night.
