Has any one out there had Cochlia inplants fitted and if so, what do you think about them. I have a total loss of hearing due to industry, but wear two aids supplied by th NHS. They are very helpful but cause me to get regular infections in both ears and a lot of pain for a couple of weeks befor clearing up with antibiotics, I am thinking of having Cochlia inplants fitted, but am interested to know if they do actually work. If you have had these fitted I would be very interested to hear your comments.
