It won't be untidy when the land is sold off for house building, they're keeping quiet about how much they got for the hall too. Shocked

That's because the Hall has not been sold. Just rented out

Why then have they spent thousands of pounds on renovations if they aren't to get a return on their money; no business would ever spend money for nothing, and I doubt a few weddings and conferences would make them millionaires either, so there must be some worthwhile reason for them to be there.

The upstairs rooms were in a shocking state well over twenty years ago when I took a look up there, the rooms were piled high with rubbish with plaster off the walls and ceilings collapsed with the leaky roof - and there's a lot of rooms, so it would take a lot of money to put right, a lot more than the council could ever have afforded.

All part of the long lease agreement along with the council investing in the grounds around the hall. Best thing that could have happened really
