I don't think that I am going to get on with this ASDA toaster.

It will take slices from a 400g loaf, though I doubt it will accept them from a standard (800g) loaf.

It does toast evenly.

The fly in the ointment: it takes ages to toast a piece of bread. When hungry, I am not the most patient person. But, slow toasting means it dries the toast considerably, resulting in something of a rusk-like texture. It is personal taste, I guess. No doubt some prefer toast like this. I like mine well seared on its outer surface, but still moist within.
