I never said or thought for one moment that I am the only person to have left Wigan. I merely said that my life had improved since I left Wigan, which it has. However, this is no reflection on Wigan as a town or the people who live in Wigan, most of whom are very pleasant, genuine, hard working people. All my family, both sides, are from Wigan and some still live there.

You told me to get a life. My reply was and still is that I have a life - an exceptionally interesting one.
