So New Zealand duo Issac Luke and Jeremy Smith have withdrawn their challenges against their suspensions after their foul deeds in last weeks game

Luke was going to contest a two-match ban for an illegal leg break action on scrum-half Rangi Chase - I for one have never seen this in any rugby game before – he had made the tackle fair and square and then twists his leg in the hope of inflicting damage

Smith had also opted not to fight a one-match ban imposed for illegal use of the forearm on Sam Tomkins - only ONE match for this cowardly action!

However the Kiwi forwards have now decided to accept the suspensions which can be wiped out in pre-season trial matches! Whats the point?

Time for "on report" to be binned and replaced with the ref looking at the video AT THE TIME and/or automatic yellow card if an incident is put on report.

It should be instant justice in the match!
