Frank-Paul Nuuausala insists his spell with Wigan was not a failure. The Kiwi prop figured in all 35 of the Warriors’ matches last season but was widely criticised by fans for failing to living up to his hype.

He was last month released from the remaining two years of his deal to rejoin Sydney Roosters where, he says, he has rediscovered his “passion” for the sport.

Reflecting on his career with Wigan, he told the Sydney Morning Herald: “It was a good experience. I enjoyed it, I don’t feel like I failed''
