Sports (Talk about balls here.)
I remember Bill well he has been in our house more times than i have had hot dinners. The reason he was a good mate with my cousin Bill Bretherton i was about 14/15 and would sit in a corner listening to all their goings on and off the field,he often said if Wigan had just slipped a few quid extra in his packet he would have still been a Wigan player, but at the time which happened a lot at Wigan they were as tight as a drum.I bet there are a lot of folk on here remember how we knew ""money was not on"" this is true when the music blasted out "ENTRY OF THE GLADIATORS" if WIGAN did not come out first we knew the money was off and we would end up losing. Those were the days when who-ever was in charge before the start he would go into dressing room and throw brown packets on the table, no extras no win simple ,no mega contracts those days. HAPPY DAYS EH!
