I remember that final in '66 very well, Aussie94! No hooker [Colin Clarke banned for an unprecedented 2 games for a technical offence], Murphy and co running offisde at almost every play-the-ball - or so it seemed. A penalty kick to touch in those days resulted in a scrum down, which Saints inevitably won, especially with ex-Wiganer Bill Sayer hooking against a prop forward! The worst final ever, in my opinion.
