Hello Roylew, I see you saw it then truly grand display by those two, you mention your a Haigh Hall golfer i did not envy you at the week-end with all that rain. When i used to play i was ok if it was not raining at the start and if it came whilst playing i then used to treat as a challenge if you have read what i put to the other golfer (blackrod/W,i cant play anymore but in the day used to go all over with mates, my biggest thrill was to play the BELFRY, on the championship course we did a 2 day special 1 round on other course ( ive forgot its name) then next morn the BRABAZON, wow that was something . As for the private clubs even back then they would let us on. I lost count how many we have played over time ,Are you a member ROY?
