try London if you think it's bad here. There are absolutely pedantic restrictions everywhere and mainly hidden, so actually a trap. I was asked to visit a nature reserve in Lambeth (by Lambeth Council). I scrupulously do my homework but was hit with a 120 quid penalty for accessing a 'low traffic area'. I've been on the Google Streets and surveyed the whole of the estate... I can't find the notices or cameras. I did a Google search for reviews and guess what... yes, it is a trap and Lambeth Council are making a fortune from penalty notices with their obscene trickery. Also they have reconfigured traffic management to trick you into a bus lane or other restricted lane. Yes I got another fine for stopping on a bus stop. I couldn't get into the outside lane comming round a bend and the traffic signal changed to red. So the camera showed me 'parked' or stationary in a bus stop. This was Crayford which I'm very familiar with and been there numerous times. As I say... just a bloody annoying trap. So if you are driving in London these days be aware... be very, very aware!
