A few years ago there was a little Ford Ka parked opposite where I work, on the road. It was there for several months, never moved, and one tyre was flat down to the rim. Parking there is at a premium, so I got online and emailed the Police and gave them all the information they'd need. I'd already established that it was neither taxed, nor MOTd. Unfortunately, the Police said that I should inform the Council (?) to take it away, but I argued that they would be able to locate the registered owner with a PNC check and that it was suspicious.

Anyway, I gave up with Police and reported it to the DVLA who came within a week and removed it.

If the cars are parked legally, there's nothing anyone can do, and I know how frustrating it can be when folk park their vehicles in places other than where they live for their own convenience.

Only today, I was blocked in by two selfish women, one about six inches in front of me, and one about 18 inches behind me. It was the only place I could park to get to my place of work and I try not to use somebody else's space, but they live there, and I only work there. I had to juggle to get my car out of the space and find something more suitable and then, when I'd done that, about an hour later, another car blocked me in again.

C'est la vie. It's a sign of the times, unfortunately.
