Just received this e.mail:-
I write in response to reading the above posting, which appeared in 2007. My apologies for commenting so late.
"The boy's name was Stephen James McBurney. He died of hypothermia after sleeping rough one night. He was aged 15. We were sea cadets together. He was a great pal. He will always be sadly missed.
