Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Looking at ancient OS maps there was a public house (with other linked properties) where KFC is now. I would expect that the stocks have been moved several times to accommodate development. It often happens. For example, Mabs Cross was moved from its original position to accommodate the widening of the busy main road.
