Eel Soup is well known over North Germany: you will get in in Hamburg.

The Rathaus (sort of Town Hall) in Bremen, Germany had a restaurant whose specialty was Aalsuppe (eel soup): served with a bowl of vinegar. You alternate a spoonful of soup with a spoonful of vinegar!
