Tonker... "Saying St.Anne’s (Lytham) is like saying Shevington (Standish). It’s either one or the other!"
Yes, I have to agree. People refer to the 2 areas as Lytham St Annes. Locals will tell you they are two completely different towns - in respect of geography and ambience. Both nice but much confusion for tourists (but quite obvious if you've walked the prom between the 2 towns).
Both are nice to visit but don't say Lytham St Anne's to locals. It's like saying Heysham instead of Heesham to locals near Morcambe!
