Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

I remember Alastair McMillian telling me that he and a lot of other mining engineers left the pits and went into teaching in the 1960s when the industry was being run down. Mac was a physics teacher at a school before he taught mining. We had two science and maths teachers at school who were ex pit men.
