The best fish & chips with all the accoutrements and condiments I ever had was at the Savoy,near the Wigan 'bus station in the late '50s.It was so good people would queue up for their lunch,it was always well patronised because the quality was consistent.While I love my seafood,especially lobster(which at present is out my price range),I prepare quite a variety of dishes,international cuisine,Italian,French,Asian and Russian,not to mention traditional English and Australian,in fact I sometimes think my eldest daughter only invites me to go and stay with them up in Newcastle for my cooking,though she does say she loves me.
