In all fairness to getwoms last post, yes dare I say it (in the olden days)lol, there wasn’t the problems that are rife in today’s society, but I think the blame must lie with the break up of communities, family’s all lived in close proximity & everyone knew each other so it was basically policed by itself, the fact that everyone lived amongst relatives and friends bred a respect that today’s society doesn’t have, I think the aftermath of the war & slum clearance must shoulder the blame for the community breakup. Just my observation based on my granny, R.I.P.
