My Mother fell as she got off the bus a man helped her up.
She told him in her posh voice. thenk you Hi was getting off the buas and I slored, she said he was a distinguished gentleman, I asked her how do you know that?? she said he had grey sideboards,

thenk = thank
Hi = I
buas = bus
slored = slurred or slipped
sideboards = sideburns

The things she came out with,Bless her, we used to laugh for weeks at some of them.
