Dostaf, my Auntie Mary was a past master at trying to be posh and getting it wrong! At Walking Day, (Our new lady Southern Belle will wonder what that is too!), she used to "put it on" when the vicar passed by but got her aitches in the wrong places, and it would come out, "Oh, 'ello Vicar, hisn't it 'ot?", and then to his wife, "Hit's very naice to see you...hisn't it warm?". Then she would spot some high-up Church Lady's little lad "leading out" carrying a beribboned crook, and would say to my Mam, "'Ey-up, Ah thowt yon mon 'ud a't t'be a shepherd!"
