And what about Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts,and what was your favourite? Mine was the coconut ring.
Someone mentioning "old" sweets reminded me of a little shop on Pall Mall in Chorley,where just after the war when chocolate was in short supply you could buy some of his old stock he had on display in his window and despite the lack of direct sunlight the chocolate was white.With todays "best before" or "use by dates" he wouldn't get away with it but those were desperate days.
