The pub you are on about Billy would be te Belle Vue, right at the top of Belle Green Lane past and to the left of the Prince of Wales There were quite a few scrap dealers up that end, Old Ellis used to buy it and also another family called Threfalls, they had a yard up there.The land where they are going to be building houses in front of Morrisons at the top of Petticoat lane in Ince, was owned and sold by them, and I can remember when they lived in a 2 up and 2 down terrace across from the Bush The house that they have sold was originally owned by the Longworth family who were mine owners (I think).
