I agree in part jarvo, but when was the Boer War statue vandalised?

Why this sculpture has been taken beggars belief. I can understand the plant pots on the park steps and other stuff with an ornamental value getting stolen, but a fibreglass model of pit woman?

Surely the thieves can't have thought it could be weighed-in?
