Oh my goodness, Peter. I am so very sorry to hear that. I believe she's in MAU, which I was in, and the staff there are wonderful, unless she's been moved again.

I didn't know she now has dementia as well, and that's not an easy thing to prepare yourself for, but I know how dedicated you've been to her over all these years. Do you mind if I ask how old she is? Don't answer that if it's too intrusive.

It's ludicrous that the cost of taxis can be so prohibitive these days, so your only option is to drive yourself. No getting around that.

I don't do prayers, Peter, but please be assured that I hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel - for both of you. Please continue to let us know how she's getting on.
