Whilst going to the hospital I have most days walking up Wigan Lane and nearly every day I see cars with the preverbal yellow envelope with the parking fine.There are two resident parking bays near pier alarm where cars are ticketed on a daily bases.Yes there is a post with a plate stating this but no clear road markings or wording on the road to show the permit areaThe other day there was a driver who had parked there and was in discussion with the traffic enforcement officer he had purchased a parking ticket but did not realise it was permit only he was booked and told to appeal it.Other cars the parking tickets had run out,The driver could have been held up in the hospital and could not get back in time to extend their parking. Latest figures I could find was that 870 cars where ticketed in a year. Be warned you will get a ticket and join the cash cow for the council
